Best Colleges for Men's Lacrosse

Lacrosse is a popular sport to play at the college level, making competition for athletic scholarships tough. Students are rarely awarded full scholarships. Typically a scholarship will be divided up among the players on a team.

Division I lacrosse is the most competitive and tends to be found at larger schools with bigger budgets. DII teams are found at smaller schools but still have some amount of athletic scholarships available. Division III schools do not offer athletic scholarships, though there may be academic scholarships and other financial aid available for those who qualify. Recruitment begins early for DI teams. Students who wish to participate in walk-on tryouts may do better off choosing DIII. NCAA Lacrosse championships are held in May.
